Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region in Avondale, AZ is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Technologist to coordinate and supervise ultrasound staff. The ideal candidate has ARDMS or CCI certification, three years of ultrasound and vascular experience with leadership skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal ultrasound technology training meeting ARDMS certification requirements.
• Three years ultrasound and vascular experience with leadership skills.
• ARDMS or CCI certification; Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling and efforts of the Ultrasound Technologists.
• Mentor and train staff.
• Perform general ultrasound procedures for patients of all ages.
• Perform billing and charging with hospital systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient care and reduce waste.
• Maintain interdepartmental communication; ensure proper exam and patient identification.
• Prioritize workload and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Participate in orientation and performance evaluation of staff.
• Work on-call shifts.
