Qualifications

• Graduated from an Accredited Diagnostic Sonography program.
• ARDMS registration and BLS from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound studies and document images for physician diagnosis.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper function and safety.
• Communicate findings and patient instructions clearly (AIDET).
• Identify patients, ensure correct image identification, and PACS/EMR data entry.
• Screen patients for contraindications and safety risks.
• Aids in training new personnel, students and physicians.
• Collaborate with team and departments to improve care quality.
• Maintain equipment, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
