Qualifications

• Performs ultrasound procedures with independent judgment under physician supervision.
• Ensures exams are coded, archived, and billed correctly in RIS/ISITE.
• Communicates clearly with patients and explains procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Uses two patient identifiers and universal protocol for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive procedures as needed.
• Ensure exams are properly coded and linked to RIS and ISITE.
• Perform high-level disinfection of devices and equipment as required.
• Document patient history and orders in the electronic medical record.
• Provide patient care with dignity and respect; work as a team.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure optimized image data.
• Obtain image documentation of anatomy and measurements.
