Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan in Dallas is seeking a Manager of Diagnostic Ultrasound to lead a staff of ultrasound technologists and ensure safe, high-quality imaging services in a busy Radiology department.

The role collaborates with physicians, administration, and IT to optimize workflows, manage budgets, and advance patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory compliance and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited imaging program for Radiography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Sonography or Vascular Sonography.
• An Associate Degree in a healthcare related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Eight years of related healthcare experience, with at least two years of leadership experience.
• Current MRT certification (TDSHS) and ARRT/ARDMS/CCI or equivalent certifications preferred; CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff of ultrasound technologists and related resources to ensure safe patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians, administration, and other departments to achieve department goals.
• Direct quality improvement initiatives and monitor performance indicators.
• Manage departmental budget, resources, and cost per unit of service.
• Coordinate with IT/clinical engineering for EMR/PACS integration and system upgrades.
