Job summary

Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital is seeking a part-time ultrasound technologist for evenings and every 4th weekend. Under site leadership, you will perform ultrasound examinations with precision, ensuring high-quality images for interpretation while upholding patient- and family-centered care.

Required credentials include an associate degree in diagnostic ultrasound and ARDMS certifications with at least 1 year of experience; BLS is required on hire.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate's degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
• BLS certification required on hire (AHA or ARC).
• ARDMS Sonographer (S) certification required within 1 year of hire.
• ARDMS Breast Sonographer (BS) certification within 1 year of hire.
• ARDMS Abdomen (AB) certification within 1 year of hire.
• ARDMS Ob/Gyn (OB) certification within 1 year of hire.
• ARDMS Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification within 1 year of hire.
• ARDMS Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification within 1 year of hire.
• ARDMS Vascular Technologist (VT) certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and efficient ultrasound exams using appropriate imaging equipment.
• Demonstrate good clinical skills and provide high-quality images for interpretation.

In response to the health care needs of a growing community, in 1977, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural farmland in Troy. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has grown to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of health care services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of the growing communities it serves.

Scope to Work

Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

• Required associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal as gained at student level. Required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
