Job summary

Witt/Kieffer is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join a cardiology practice in East Setauket, NY. The candidate will perform advanced echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds in an outpatient setting, producing and interpreting images for diagnosis.

Requirements include RDMS, RDCS, RVT certifications and a minimum of 3 years of hospital or cardiology office experience. This position is open for full-time/part-time with per diem options and may require travel between practice locations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Sonography program with RDMS, RVT, RDCS certification and BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a hospital or physician office with cardiac experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures including venous/arterial Dopplers, renal and abdominal ultrasounds.
• Produce, assess, and evaluate ultrasound images and related data in an outpatient setting.
• Assess interpretation and analysis of exams, providing preliminary findings to the physician.

JOB SUMMARY:

Cardiology practice seeking 3 year minimum experience certified RDMS, RDCS, RVT.

• Candidate for this position will perform complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures, including, but not limited to, venous/arterial dopplers, renal and abdominal ultrasounds, for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
• Will utilize advanced knowledge to perform diagnostic procedures in an outpatient setting, by producing, assessing, and evaluating ultrasound images and related data.
• Must have the ability to assess interpretation and analysis of exams, following protocols to provide a preliminary diagnosis of technical findings to the physician.
• Responsible for the independent operation and upkeep of the ultrasound equipment, maintaining appropriate credentials, and for performing and communicating the results of the echocardiographic diagnostic exams and vascular ultrasound exams via a report.
• Responsible for the dialy operations of the echo lab assigned, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures and quality assessment.

$37.50-$52.88 per hour

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
