Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to join our GeForce Now streaming team. You will help build an ultra low latency media streaming stack, optimize performance, and ensure high video quality across devices.

You will own end-to-end development, develop tools for performance analysis, and collaborate across teams to push the boundaries of streaming technology. A CS degree and 3+ years in related areas are expected.

Qualifications

Proficient in C/C++, multithreaded programming, and system software design.
Experience optimizing video processing pipelines for latency and quality.
Experience analyzing performance and CPU/GPU utilization for video/graphics apps.
Familiar with video capture, codecs, render pipelines and APIs.
Experience with networking, WebRTC, and audio/video transport protocols.
Cross-platform development on Linux and Windows.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve media streaming stack to deliver ultra low streaming latency, video quality and network resilience.
Own end-to-end software development cycle for features and modules and meet performance, reliability, scalability and sustainability requirements.
Develop tools for video perf and quality analysis, verification and tuning.
Define and build performance metrics and indicators, leverage data to analyze and improve streaming performance and user experience.
Participate in software reviews and contribute to quality of designs and code across the team.
Contribute to the evolution of team processes and methodologies.
