Job description

UKG Payroll & Timekeeping Consultant | Project Consulting Group (PCG)

Company Overview

PCG (Project Consulting Group) is a management consulting firm enabling transformative business change with low ego and high competence. We partner with client leadership teams to solve complex problems, drive operational improvement, and implement strategic initiatives that deliver measurable results.

Our consultants combine analytical rigor, practical execution, and collaborative problem-solving to help organizations achieve sustainable change across industries including manufacturing, distribution, financial services, and healthcare.

The role

PCG is seeking a UKG Payroll & Timekeeping Consultant to support clients implementing UKG Pro, UKG Pro WFM, and/or UKG Dimensions for payroll and timekeeping, typically replacing fragmented or legacy technology environments with a modern, enterprise-grade solution. This role brings deep expertise in UKG, timekeeping, and payroll operations, along with a strong ability to navigate complex, multi-entity business environments — helping clients translate complicated operational requirements into scalable processes, sound system designs, and integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead consultant for UKG, timekeeping, and payroll-related requirements within a complex transformation program.

  • Advise clients on translating complex pay policies, labor rules, and business rules into practical system requirements and configurations.

  • Help define how time and pay should be captured for employees working across different projects, locations, business units, classifications, and pay rates.

  • Help design future-state timekeeping and payroll processes that support complex, multi-entity, and multi-location operations.

  • Partner with business and technology teams to define system requirements, business rules, data relationships, and integration points.

  • Translate operational requirements into clear, actionable system design and build approaches.

  • Document current-state and future-state processes across UKG, HCM, Payroll, and ERP systems.

  • Identify how data should move between systems and how changes in one system may impact downstream processes.

  • Help establish scalable approaches that can accommodate business growth, new projects, and evolving operational requirements

Required Experience

  • Significant experience with UKG/Kronos and enterprise timekeeping solutions.

  • Strong understanding of complex payroll environments, including multi-entity, multi-state, or multi-union operations.

  • Experience translating complex pay policies and labor rules into system requirements, configurations, or business processes.

  • Understanding of how timekeeping connects to payroll, HCM, and/or ERP systems.

  • Experience with UKG Pro, UKG Pro WFM, or UKG Dimensions.

  • Experience supporting complex business operations, such as field-service, mobile workforce, multi-location, or project-based environments.

  • Experience integrating UKG with HCM, Payroll, or ERP platforms

Why PCG

  • Work on high-impact, visible projects across multiple industries

  • Collaborative, low-ego culture that values practical results

  • Opportunities for professional growth and client-facing leadership
