We are looking for a talented UI/UX Front-End Developer to help shape and deliver modern digital applications, with a particular emphasis on AI-powered conversational products. This position sits at the intersection of product design and front-end engineering and is ideal for someone who can think strategically about user experience while also building sophisticated, production-ready interfaces. The successful candidate will take ownership of the design direction and front-end implementation of AI chat experiences and other digital applications.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & User Experience

• Take ownership of the overall UX strategy and interface design for AI-powered applications and other front-end products.
• Develop clean, intuitive, visually consistent interfaces that prioritize usability and accessibility.
• Produce user journeys, process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs using tools such as Figma.
• Create and maintain reusable design patterns, component libraries, and design-system standards across applications.
• Apply interaction design, information architecture, content structure, and visual hierarchy principles to improve the overall user experience.
• Gather and incorporate feedback through user interviews, usability evaluations, analytics, and other research methods.
• Develop thoughtful animations, transitions, feedback states, and other micro-interactions where they enhance the product experience.
• Simplify sophisticated AI functionality and technical processes into experiences that are understandable to a broad user audience.
• Incorporate accessibility and inclusive-design practices throughout the product lifecycle, including adherence to WCAG standards.

Front-End Development

• Convert approved designs and prototypes into responsive, high-quality production interfaces.
• Establish front-end architecture and development patterns that promote maintainability, scalability, and reuse.
• Develop shared UI components and contribute to the evolution of front-end frameworks and libraries.
• Connect front-end applications to RESTful services and work closely with backend developers on API integration.
• Write and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing layers.
• Utilize testing technologies such as Jest, Vitest, Playwright, and Cypress as appropriate.
• Participate in CI/CD processes and application delivery using Azure DevOps and related development tooling.
• Work with product and business stakeholders to understand requirements and transform them into user stories, designs, and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and distributed teams across multiple geographic locations.
• Participate in planning, prioritization, design reviews, development discussions, and product demonstrations.
• Communicate design and technical decisions effectively to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Contribute to special projects and short-term initiatives as priorities evolve.
• Help establish alignment between business goals, technical constraints, and the needs of end users.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to design digital experiences that balance customer needs, usability, technical feasibility, and organizational objectives.
• Advanced understanding of interaction design, visual design, motion, and micro-interactions.
• Strong knowledge of information architecture, typography, composition, spacing, visual hierarchy, and interface layout.
• Experience creating responsive and adaptive experiences that function effectively across screen sizes and devices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

Education & Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of professional front-end development experience, including substantial responsibility for UI/UX and product design.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual design judgment and experience creating high-quality web or application interfaces.
• Experience creating or contributing to scalable design systems, reusable component libraries, and modern UI frameworks.
• Track record of delivering production web applications where usability, performance, and overall product quality are important considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to take a React and TypeScript application from initial concept and design through development, testing, and deployment.
• Experience converting business and stakeholder needs into user stories, workflows, prototypes, interface designs, and working software.
• Experience designing conversational interfaces, AI applications, virtual assistants, copilots, agent experiences, or similar products is strongly preferred.
• Educational or professional background in product design, graphic design, HCI, interaction design, or a comparable discipline is beneficial.
• Familiarity with public cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud is preferred.
