Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a UI/UX Engineer Specialist to bridge design thinking and frontend software engineering in an Agile organization. You translate personas and workflows into responsive interfaces, contribute to the design system, and ensure 508-compliant features.

You’ll work with Product Owners and senior engineers to build high-fidelity components, organize styles, and promote design thinking across sprints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years related experience in IT.
• 6+ years as UI/UX Engineer, Front-End Dev, or UX Designer.
• Strong HTML5, CSS3/Sass, TypeScript, Angular (v14+).
• Figma for assets, prototyping and specs.
• 508/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance experience.
• Experience in 2-week Agile sprints and collaboration.
• Familiarity with Kendo UI, Looker, and CSS-in-JS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and maintain global component library using Angular.
• Design high-fidelity wireframes, interactions, screens in Figma.
• Implement global stylesheets and navigation frameworks per standards.
• Perform 508 accessibility testing and remediation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, and senior devs on frontend feasibility.
• Support spikes to evaluate emerging tech and styling issues.
• Streamline design-to-code handoff for high-fidelity implementation.
• Contribute to UI guides and styling documentation.
