Job summary

Niyam IT is seeking a UI/UX Developer to design intuitive, user-centered interfaces for legacy and modern systems, collaborating with developers, business analysts and stakeholders. This full-time role is hybrid to Ashburn, VA, with 1-2 days on-site weekly.

The ideal candidate brings strong creative design, technical awareness, leadership, and a proven ability to deliver accessible, scalable UI solutions aligned to mission objectives.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
• Bachelor's degree in Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Human Factors.
• 5 years of professional UI/UX design experience.
• On-site work capability in Ashburn, VA 1-2 days per week.
• Proficiency with React, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and UI libraries such as Kendo UI.
• Experience with Java and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot).
• Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Harness, Bamboo).
• Experience building accessible, responsive web apps and leading design systems.
• Strong collaboration, communication and agile teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Lead consistent look-and-feel across applications with a unified design system.
• Create design artifacts: wireframes, mockups, prototypes for development.
• Develop reusable UI components and style standards.
• Evaluate requirements with business teams and ensure feasible, user-centered solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery and quality of UI/UX work, provide guidance to teammates.
