Job summary

Edgesource Corporation in Chantilly, VA, seeks a front-end UI/UX developer to design and build responsive, user-centered web applications. You will translate requirements into intuitive interfaces and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality experiences.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with Angular and/or Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and accessibility considerations. A strong communicator who can contribute through the entire development lifecycle is ideal.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 4+ years of experience in UI/UX development, front-end development, web application development, or related role.
• Hands-on development experience with Angular and/or Node.js.
• Experience developing applications using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency with HTML and CSS.
• Experience developing responsive web interfaces across devices and screen sizes.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design, usability, and modern UI/UX principles.
• Experience translating requirements, wireframes, mockups, or design concepts into functional UI.
• Experience integrating front-end with REST APIs or backend services.
• Experience developing and maintaining reusable UI components.
• Experience debugging front-end functionality, usability, and performance issues.
• Proficiency with Git.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly web applications and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain front-end components using Angular and/or Node.js.
• Translate business requirements and user needs into functional UI/UX solutions.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows to communicate concepts.
• Develop reusable UI components and maintain consistency across apps.
• Integrate front-end interfaces with APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and users throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct usability reviews and incorporate feedback into improvements.
• Identify and resolve usability, accessibility, performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile ceremonies.
• Support modernization and continuous improvement of apps.
