DAn Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to support the design of workflow-driven applications within a complex big-data environment.

This position emphasizes design over development, requiring ability to document how an application and its workflows operate and translate that into wireframes and final approved designs. Seating available in Annapolis Junction, MD Washington, DC or Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• 18 years of UI/UX design or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience.
• Master's degree may substitute for 6 years of experience.
• Experience documenting user workflows into wireframes and final UI designs.
• Ability to design complete interconnected user experiences including admin and end-user workflows.
• Experience taking designs from low-fidelity concepts through high-fidelity, stakeholder-approved solutions.
• Experience designing complex, workflow-driven enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop in a NIPR environment.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to support the design of workflow-driven applications within a complex big-data environment.

This position is heavily focused on design rather than development. The ideal candidate will be able to understand and document how an application and its workflows operate, then carry that understanding consistently through wireframes and final approved designs.

You will work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and developers to translate complex business requirements into cohesive, end-to-end user experiences. The goal is to create designs that are detailed and complete enough to minimize gaps during development and reduce the need for developers to make independent UX decisions during implementation.

Required Experience

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current CI Polygraph

• 18 years of UI/UX Design, UI/UX Development, or highly related experience with similar scope and responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience

• Master's degree may substitute for 6 years of experience

• Experience documenting user workflows and translating them into wireframes and final UI designs

• Ability to design complete, interconnected user experiences, including administrative functionality and end-user workflows

• Experience taking designs from low-fidelity concepts through high-fidelity, stakeholder-approved solutions

• Experience designing complex, workflow-driven enterprise applications

• Proficiency with Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop in a NIPR environment

Desired Experience

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• SCSS/SASS and micro-animations for user feedback

• Java Web, Node.js, or AWS environments

• GitLab

• Agile/Scrum development environments

• WebSockets or other technologies supporting real-time data updates

Salary Range Disclaimer: The posted salary range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum compensation DAn Solutions expects to pay for this position. The position may be filled at different Labor Category (LCAT) levels depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contract requirements. Final compensation within the posted range will be determined based on the applicable LCAT and factors including education, relevant experience, certifications, and other required qualifications.
