Job summary

Ladders is seeking a UI/UX Designer with an active security clearance to craft intuitive interfaces for mission-critical robotics applications. You will translate user needs into clear workflows, information architectures, and high-fidelity prototypes while ensuring consistency with our design system.

You will conduct user research, usability testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance usability with technical constraints and operational priorities.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• 5+ years of UI/UX experience for software applications.
• Bachelor's degree in interaction design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Portfolio showcasing user research, interaction and visual design contributions.
• Proficiency in Figma or similar tools with responsive layouts and interactive prototypes.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Ability to design complex workflows and reusable design systems.

This role will shape intuitive digital experiences for mission-critical applications supporting robotics and autonomous systems initiatives. You will translate user needs, operational complexity, and technical constraints into clear, effective interfaces that support both usability and mission outcomes. Location: Remote

Compensation: $102,000 – $174,000 annually
