Job summary

Sleeper in Seattle is seeking a designer with 1–3+ years of experience to design interfaces across iOS, Android, and Web. You will own layout, typography, spacing, color systems, and visual hierarchy while contributing to the design system.

You’ll create interface graphics and marketing visuals, collaborate with product and engineering, and help maintain a scalable UI component library. This is a contract-to-hire, hybrid Seattle role with strong equity benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of full-time design experience.
• A strong portfolio, deck, or sample work showcasing your passion and foundations in design.
• Ability to own design process end-to-end from concept to implementation.
• Ability to collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other partners to drive visual direction.
• Strong attention to detail with fundamentals of UI, interaction and visual design.
• Expertise with design systems and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Design user interfaces across iOS, Android, and Web – owning layout, typography, spacing, color systems, and visual hierarchy.
• Create interface graphics, icons, illustrations, and digital visuals that bring the product to life.
• Produce promotional graphics, marketing banners, advertisements, social media assets, and branded creative materials.
• Maintain and expand design system and UI component library, prepping production-ready assets for engineering.
• Participate in design critiques and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on visual design initiatives.
• Develop visual concepts that improve usability while keeping the brand consistent, and show up for design critiques with multidisciplinary teams.
