Job summary

Applied Methods Ltd is seeking a mid-level UI Engineer in San Francisco to own design system components and deliver pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces. You will work with designers to translate high-fidelity mocks into production-ready, accessible components and build reusable libraries.

The role emphasizes performance, cross-browser compatibility, and polished micro-interactions. In-office culture is strong, with in-person work 4–5 days per week, and some flexibility for focus time at home.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years frontend experience with React.
• Mastery of CSS (flexbox, grid, animations, transforms).
• Experience building complex, interactive UIs such as editors or animation-heavy applications.
• Experience with performance optimization in React rendering and CSS.

Responsibilities

• Own design system components from foundational elements to complex editor UI primitives.
• Build pixel-perfect layouts, smooth animations, and responsive interactions.
• Implement polished micro-interactions and transitions for a crafted feel.
• Optimize rendering, bundle size, and interaction responsiveness to maintain 60fps.
• Partner with designers to translate high-fidelity mocks into production-ready components.
