You will build reusable UI components, integrate with REST APIs, and ensure performance and accessibility. The role emphasizes collaboration in Agile ceremonies, testing, and continuous improvement within a modern front-end stack.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience building production web applications
  • Strong hands-on experience with: React
  • TypeScript
  • HTML/CSS
  • Responsive web design
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs and data-driven applications
  • Experience building, debugging, and optimizing front-end applications
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and test coverage practices
  • Familiarity with Git, pull requests, CI/CD, and Agile development
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Job description

UI Engineer – BAS UI Framework

Location: Glendale, WI

Loyal Source is seeking a skilled UI Engineer with strong React and TypeScript experience to support the development of a next-generation Building Automation System (BAS) user interface platform.

PAY: $60/hr

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience building production web applications
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • React
    • TypeScript
    • HTML/CSS
    • Responsive web design
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs and data-driven applications
  • Experience building, debugging, and optimizing front-end applications
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and test coverage practices
  • Familiarity with Git, pull requests, CI/CD, and Agile development
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • .NET/C# experience
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience
  • SCADA or industrial automation experience
  • Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Experience with real-time data applications and streaming APIs

Ideal Candidate

A strong front-end engineer with recent React and TypeScript experience, proven experience building modern web applications, and a solid understanding of API integration, testing, performance optimization, and Agile development practices. Experience with BAS, SCADA, or .NET technologies is a plus.
