Job description

We are seeking an experienced UI Engineer to develop accessible interfaces for dashboards, search, filtering, drill-down, reports, and signal review for a Federal data analytics and AI modernization initiative.

The team will deliver a secure, scalable platform that integrates structured and unstructured data, provides data visualization and traceable AI-assisted analytics, and gives examiners centralized tools for search, review, monitoring, and decision support. The platform will support professional judgment and will not replace authoritative agency financial or grants-management systems or execute financial transactions.

Analytica has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as the fastest-growing private US small business. We work with U.S. government customers in health, civilian, and national security missions. As a core member you’ll work with a diverse team of professionals to solve matters, architect nuisances, and come up with alternatives. We offer competitive compensation with opportunities for bonuses, employer paid health care, training and development funds, and 401k match.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop accessible, responsive, production-ready web interfaces for dashboards, search, filtering, drill-down, reporting, and data review.
  • Build reusable UI components using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
  • Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, backend services, and data platforms.
  • Develop interactive data visualizations, dashboards, charts, tables, filters, search, and drill-down workflows.
  • Implement responsive design, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus management, and accessible user interactions.
  • Develop and maintain automated UI tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
  • Optimize applications for performance, usability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI, API integration, performance, and accessibility issues.
  • Develop technical documentation covering UI architecture, reusable components, integrations, testing, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with UX, software engineering, data engineering, data science, and AI/ML teams throughout development and testing.
  • Apply security, privacy, accessibility, data governance, and records-management requirements to application development.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience developing production front-end and UI applications.
  • Proficiency with modern JavaScript and/or TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Experience with reusable component design, state management, API integration, and automated UI testing.
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, semantic markup, keyboard navigation, focus management, and responsive design.
  • Experience developing data visualizations, dashboards, filtering, drill-down, search, and reporting interfaces.
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services.
  • Strong understanding of web performance, browser compatibility, and responsive application development.
  • Strong technical communication, documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret eligibility.
  • Active Top Secret clearance highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing applications for Federal financial, grants, budget, payment, award oversight, or financial reporting systems.
  • Experience delivering applications in secure Federal, on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Linux-based development or deployment environments.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Java and/or .NET backend applications and APIs.
  • Experience with Jenkins, self-hosted Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Rancher.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-powered capabilities into web applications.
  • Familiarity with open-source AI models and AI-enabled user interfaces.
  • Experience with WCAG and Section 508 compliance in production applications.
