Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience conducting investigations, audits, or reviews that require gathering facts, evaluating evidence, and reaching well-supported conclusions.
• Experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies, or procedural standards to determine compliance or eligibility in a regulatory setting.
• Experience conducting interviews or fact-finding conversations with individuals from a range of backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct claims audits: Examine UI claims actions, documents, and data to verify eligibility and benefits.
• Investigate and gather facts: Interview claimants, employers, and third parties to resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze cases and identify patterns: Review denied claims to find issues related to eligibility or program rules.
• Take corrective action: Resolve issues or refer for action and coordinate implementation.
• Document and code findings: Write detailed records and update state UI systems.
• Produce case summaries and reports: Prepare clear summaries for leadership with recommendations.
• Support quality reviews: Participate in peer reviews to evaluate audit accuracy.
