Job summary

Acorn Financial Services is seeking a Tax Advisor to lead strategic tax planning for UHNW clients, architecting long-term relief against tax friction and inflation across complex portfolios, business transitions, and multi-generational transfers.

You will design proactive tax systems, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with estate attorneys and wealth managers to align tax outcomes with client objectives and fiduciary duties.

Qualifications

• CPA, EA, or JD with valid PTIN is required.
• Commitment to long-term tax strategy for UHNW clients.
• Ability to collaborate across wealth management and estate planning teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Federal and State tax returns for UHNW clients and entities (1040s, 1041s, 1065s, 1120S).
• Design sophisticated tax-mitigation strategies for liquidity events or business sales.
• Serve as the definitive tax authority in joint meetings with attorneys and wealth managers.
• Stay ahead of tax law shifts and update firm-wide strategies.
• Review junior team outputs to ensure high-performance standards.
