Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center is seeking a friendly Gift Shop Sales Associate to support merchandising, inventory control, and customer service in a busy hospital gift shop. The role focuses on helping customers, processing sales, and maintaining an inviting shop environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, building profiles, assisting with merchandising, wrapping gifts, and ensuring the shop is clean, organized, and open for business on schedule. Prior retail exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of retail experience.
• Experience in a retail setting involving merchandising and inventory.

Responsibilities

Works with customers on special orders and requests, maintains special order files and sales.16. Places orders for flowers and specialized merchandise as scheduled.17. Assists with Gift Shop Operations.18. Ensures gift shop is open and ready for business on time. Responsible for timely closing of the gift shop, ensures both gift shop and volunteer services office are locked and secure.19.
