Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV seeks a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the night shift in 6 North. You will assist licensed nurses with direct patient care, monitor vitals, and help with personal needs to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report patient concerns to a RN immediately.
• Assist RN with admission, transfer, discharge and routine care.

• Maintain a safe, clean environment to prevent infections.
• Communicate equipment needs to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Assist with nutrition-related needs and diet changes.

Reports all necessary equipment repairs to appropriate personnel according to departmental procedure in a timely manner.7. Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures according to departmental procedure.8. Communicates with RN regarding any nutrition issues, such as poor appetite or verbalized lack of understanding of diet changes.10. Assists department with administrative tasks to support the department operations.11.
