Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a UH-60 Utility Helicopter Repairer to maintain Black Hawk helicopters, ensuring they stay safe and mission-ready. You will supervise and perform inspections, service, and maintenance of aircraft and subsystems.

The role includes removing/installing engines, rotors, gearboxes, and related systems, along with learning to diagnose issues and prepare for inspections. Training leads to civilian career pathways in aviation and government sectors.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines and rotors.
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Assist in diagnosing/troubleshooting.
