Job summary

Join the Army National Guard as a UH-60 Utility Helicopter Repairer in Rapid City, SD. You will supervise and perform maintenance on Black Hawk aircraft to keep them safe, reliable, and mission-ready, including inspections and subsystem work.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. You’ll develop hands-on skills with engines, hydraulics, fuels, and electrical systems while earning a paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard or equivalent
• Must be at least 17 with high school diploma or GED
• Must pass a physical exam and meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com)

Responsibilities

• Remove and install aircraft subsystems such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions and flight controls
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks
• Assist in diagnosing/troubleshooting
