Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; technical or military school training preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' electrical experience with Fighter/Attack/Bomber aircraft maintenance, preferably in military aviation.
  • Experience wiring aircraft and installing avionics system modifications (10/100 and Gig Ethernet, copper, shielded wires).
  • Active U.S. SECRET clearance or ability to obtain/maintain is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and modifications on aircraft using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and test equipment.
  • Inspect and verify systems, LRUs, and installations; read/interpret manuals and technical orders.
  • Install units and components per blueprints and specs; fabricate prototype equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate with project engineers and provide technical assistance on projects.
  • Maintain airworthiness through servicing, repairs, and overhauls; follow safety and regulatory requirements.
