Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, LLC is looking for an Avionics Mechanic in Huntsville, AL to install and repair electrical parts, units and aircraft components according to blueprints and specifications. The role requires four years of direct avionics maintenance experience, preferably in the military aviation field, plus a High School Diploma or GED; technical or military training is preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical or Military School Training preferred.
Four years direct experience in avionics maintenance, primarily in the military aviation field or appropriate military occupation specialty training.
Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and overhaul avionics units and components per blueprints and specs.
Fabricate prototype equipment for military aircraft; reference manuals and orders.
Coordinate with project engineers and provide technical assistance.
Service batteries and ensure airworthiness of aircraft.
Read maintenance and FAA manuals; interpret technical orders and drawings.
Install units in structural assembly using tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.
