Job summary

Akima Readiness Support (ARS) in Topeka, KS is seeking UH-60 Mechanics to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on UH-60 aircraft systems, and to assist in troubleshooting per technical publications and regulations.

The role requires thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical components, access to required tools, and the ability to log records. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with a valid driver's license and own tools per US Army 15T standards.

Qualifications

• Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
• Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and micrometers.
• UH-60 maintenance experience.
• Mechanic must have their own tools in accordance with US Army 15T toolbox standards or able to obtain.
• This job requires working knowledge of technical publications and will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
• Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions.
• Applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation.
• Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals.
