Metropolitan Community College is seeking a UBMS Tutor - English in Omaha to help high school students grasp English course content and develop learning skills. You will assist with assignments, enable use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and guide students through MCC systems for enhanced academic success.

The role is temporary/part-time. Minimum pay is $17.58 per hour; a background check is required. An associate’s degree or progress toward one with strong English is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree in progress or completed with GPA 3.25+ and a B or better in English.
• Must pass a background check.
• Tutoring or teaching experience preferred.

• Assist with other general UBMS Tutoring tasks as assigned.
• Attend work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Assist students with understanding assignments and concepts in a specialized subject area.
• Assist students with academic applications of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Assist students with navigating MCC systems and software.
• Assist with other general UBMS Tutoring tasks as assigned.
• Attend work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.
• Associate’s degree in progress or completed and overall cumulativeGPAof 3.25 or better and received a “B” or better in English.
• Must pass a background check.
