General Atomics Aeronautical Systems in San Diego, CA (Poway area) seeks a UAV Systems Specialist to develop and integrate electronic payloads for unmanned platforms, reporting to the Prototype Integration Manager.

The role emphasizes hands-on wiring, testing, safety compliance, and collaboration across engineering, operations, and maintenance teams. DoD clearance is required or pursued.

Formación

• Requires bachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional engineering/military technical and/or documentation experience.
• Formal training in one or more safety disciplines.
• Knowledge of the engineering development process.
• Ability to develop, acquire, interpret and communicate technical data.
• Ability to understand new concepts and apply them in an evolving environment.
• Strong organization skills.
• Ability to identify issues and develop technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of computer operations and applications.

• Flexibility to work shifts and travel as required.
• Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot basic circuits and electronic systems using electrical and RF theory.
• Develop acceptance test procedures for electronic systems and subassemblies.
• Set up experiments and calibrate equipment prior to data acquisition and testing.
• Review product systems and safety requirements for assigned systems.
• Analyze project requirements and propose solutions to meet standards.
• Identify deficiencies and report issues promptly.
• Maintain and repair equipment using standard tools.
• Document detailed requirements, procedures, and training materials.
• Assess safety criteria in system procedures to control hazards.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance to resolve issues.
• Observe all laws and regulations and work safely.
