Job summary

Sine Engineering in Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking a hands-on technician to assemble custom UAV hardware, build prototypes, and support field operations. You will work closely with engineering and flight teams in the United States and Europe to ensure clean electrical integration and robust mechanical assemblies.

The ideal candidate has electronics and mechanical skills, experience with 3D printing and CAD (Fusion 360), and a practical approach to soldering, debugging, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience soldering SMD components; reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
• Experience assembling and debugging hardware prototypes.
• Solid understanding of electronic components in UAV systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, solder, and wire up low-voltage UAV hardware (including SMD components).
• Perform board-level diagnostics and hardware repairs.
• Build cable harnesses and ensure clean electrical integration.
• Operate and maintain FDM 3D printers; assist with basic CAD adjustments.
