Job summary

SmartSite LLC seeks an experienced UAV technician to perform topographic surveys across MD, VA, DE, and WV, collecting data and generating CAD-based reports. The ideal candidate will hold a Part-107 license or rapidly obtain one, and be proficient with CAD, Excel, Bluebeam, and AGTEK software.

Knowledge of residential land development and ability to read civil plans are highly valued. Fingerprints of field work include driving to-site locations, outdoor work year-round, and occasional weekend

Qualifications

• Experience with UAV operation, data collection, and aerial survey techniques.
• Part-107 license, or ability to obtain license within 2 weeks of start date.
• Proficiency in CAD, Excel, Bluebeam, and AGTEK related software.
• An understanding of residential land development.
• Ability to read and understand civil engineering plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with geotechnical reports.

Job description

Candidate will perform UAV flight topography at various development project sides in the MD / VA / DE / WV area. Using the data generated, the technician will produce proprietary reports utilizing CAD related software packages.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Experience with UAV operation, data collection, and aerial survey techniques
• Part-107 license, or ability to obtain license within 2 weeks of start date
• Proficiency in CAD, Excel, Bluebeam, and AGTEK related software
• An understanding of residential land development
• Ability to read and understand civil engineering plans and specifications
• Familiarity with geotechnical reports

This position requires the following:

• Clean driver's license and ability to drive company van to various site locations
• Ability to work Monday - Friday with occasional weekends as needed
• Capable of working outdoors, year round, in various weather conditions
• Capable of carrying ~70 pounds of tools & equipment across uneven terrain
