Job summary

AV is seeking an Engineering Flight Test Specialist II to serve as remote pilot in command for unmanned aircraft systems during flight testing, ATPs, and external demonstrations. The role requires leading acceptance testing activities, coordinating demonstration events, and ensuring safety protocols are followed on all test flights.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience, FAA Part 107 certification, and strong IT and flight planning skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience with manufacturing systems and processes.
• Advanced computer skills including IP protocol and MS programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed post-flight test reporting and adhere to safety protocols.
• Provide feedback on aircraft performance to departments.
• Perform flight demonstrations and manage demo equipment/planning/travel.
• Lead Flight Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing events.
• Quality control testing before/after flight tests.
• Manage flight test equipment inventory and maintenance.
