Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a System Test Engineer II to develop and execute system test plans for small unmanned air vehicles and missiles, covering simulator, ground, and flight tests. You will log and analyze data, document test results, and work with subsystems to meet objectives.

The role requires 2–5 years in related testing, scripting for automation, and may involve travel up to 30% across the Continental U.S. A MS/PhD is preferred; pilots or aircrew experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline required.
• 2–5 years’ system or flight test experience.
• Scripting and programming for test automation is a plus.
• Travel within the continental U.S. 10–30%.
• Pilot/aircrew experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support developmental test and evaluation of subsystems and full-scale tests.
• Develop test cards to verify test objectives and document results.
• Review system requirements to ensure testability.
• Analyze test data using MATLAB or Excel and report results.
• Coordinate with outside labs and assist technicians during testing.
