Job summary

Griffon Aerospace in Madison, Alabama is seeking a mid-career Electronics Technician to join our engineering team. You will support prototype development and production efforts for advanced UAV electronics systems, testing and assembling circuit boards and system-level assemblies.

The role requires hands-on testing, assembly, and troubleshooting, with experience in aerospace/defense electronics and IPC standards. On-site, full-time position with growth within a dynamic defense tech environment.

Qualifications

3–7 years of experience in electronics testing, assembly and troubleshooting.
Experience with circuit boards and system-level electronic assemblies.
Experience in aerospace/defense industry or military electronics.
Familiarity with IPC standards: J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620.
Proficiency with standard test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, soldering tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and work instructions.
U.S. Person per ITAR and access to ITAR/CUI.

Responsibilities

Test, troubleshoot, and validate electronic assemblies and embedded UAV systems.
Build prototype electronics including boards, wire harnesses and system assemblies.
Perform quality inspections and functional testing to meet specifications.
Support engineering by assembling and testing prototype hardware.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to resolve issues during testing and production.
Document test results, procedures and findings for traceability.
Support both prototype builds and production manufacturing.
Maintain clean, organized work areas in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Assist with rework and repair of electronic assemblies as needed.
