Job summary

College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas seeks an AV/UAV/Engineering Technologies Lab Technician to support lab operations and assist instructors and students with UAVs and other equipment during labs.

The role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting UAV systems, performing equipment maintenance, and helping prepare labs with proper inventories for classes. A valid driver license and FAA Part 107 certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot UAV and related electronic equipment per faculty directions.
• Experience verifying proper equipment operation and performing equipment maintenance.
• Preferred: degree or pursuing in Engineering Technology or Aviation Technology.
• Part 107 / FAA Remote Pilot certificates and valid driver license are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for lab operations of scheduled and open Aviation or Engineering Technologies Labs.
• Support instructors and students with operation of UAVs, drones, and related equipment during labs.
• Perform maintenance on specialized lab equipment.
• Assist to ensure labs are prepared with proper inventories for classes.
• Assist instructors in planning and preparing labs with full-time faculty.
