Job summary

Amtex Systems Inc is seeking a QA Lead for a full-time hybrid role in Jersey City, NJ. You will own the UAT phase, translate product requirements into test scenarios, and ensure release readiness with the Tech & Product teams.

You will mentor the QA team, drive quality gates, leverage AI tools like Claude, and maintain traceability across requirements, tests, defects, and releases to meet audit and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience leading QA/UAT activities in complex projects.
• Ability to translate product requirements into comprehensive test scenarios.
• Experience establishing program-wide quality gates for UAT and release.
• Strong leadership to mentor and develop QA teams and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own the business-facing UAT phase in pre-production and define UAT strategy with Tech & Product teams.
• Act as quality bridge between business and delivery; create test scenarios and manage defect triage.
• Set up Go/No-Go readiness including test data and environment stability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team; manage resource and capacity planning.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability and QA compliance across requirements, tests, defects, and releases.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

• Own the business-facing UAT phase in pre-production. Set the UAT strategy with the Technology & Product team
• Be the quality bridge between business and delivery. Turn Product requirements into real test scenarios, run stakeholder walkthroughs and defect triage, and lock down UAT readiness (test data, environment stability, onboarding).
• Establish program-wide quality gates for UAT and release, providing independent Go/No-Go assurance to program leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team, setting objectives, driving capability uplift (including fully leveraging AI tools like Claude), and owning resource and capacity planning across the QA team.Ensure end-to-end traceability and QA compliance across requirements, test cases, defects, and releases to satisfy internal audit and regulatory obligations.
• Own defect governance and quality improvements — driving root cause analysis when issues arise in testing / QA to make step-change improvements, predictive risk insights etc. that improve quality release over release
