Job summary

SMX in the United States is seeking an Operations Analyst/Software Tester to support multiple software projects through requirements analysis, end-user validation, and comprehensive test planning and execution.

This role serves as a QA advocate, coordinating with users, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure reliable, DoD-aligned software deliveries and accurate documentation such as SDDs, SVDs, CSIPs, and DDDs.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• 2+ years of software/testing or operations analysis experience, preferably on DoD or mission-critical enterprise systems.
• Experience interpreting requirements and translating them into executable test cases and workflows.
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing, test planning, and test result reporting.
• Familiarity with technical documentation practices for DoD/federal systems, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Understanding of data management concepts, aviation reliability, or sustainment systems is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; ability to facilitate meetings and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting UAT and stakeholder engagement meetings.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, test management tools, and test automation concepts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to prepare professional assessments and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Gather system and user requirements, validate workflows, and provide status updates.
• Coordinate testing activities and report results to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, scripts, and reports.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing and set up test environments.
• Ensure documentation updates reflect changes and stakeholder feedback.
• Track risks related to changes to CDRLs and other deliverables.
• Advance automated testing to improve repeatability and speed.
• Support stakeholder integration meetings and cross-functional alignment.
