Job summary

SMX is seeking an Operations Analyst and Software Tester in Austin, TX to support multiple software projects. You will gather requirements, lead UAT, develop test plans, and maintain documentation to ensure reliable, secure software deliveries aligned with user needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating stakeholder communication, enhancing test automation, and documenting outcomes. A Secret clearance and 2+ years in testing or operations analysis are required.

Qualifications

• Secret Security Clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software/system testing or operations analysis, ideally with DoD or critical enterprise systems.
• Experience interpreting requirements to create test cases and workflows.
• Hands-on manual and automated testing experience, including test planning and reporting.
• Familiarity with DoD or federal documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to gather and validate user requirements, provide updates, and clarify needs throughout project phases.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating user participation and reporting results to teams.
• Develop and maintain test plans and reports, ensuring alignment with documentation standards.
• Advance automated testing suites to improve test efficiency and reliability.
• Document outcomes and action items from stakeholder meetings to foster cross-functional alignment.
