Job summary

Flagship Pioneering seeks a UAS Systems Integration Engineer II in Boulder, CO to drive the autopilot stack, airframe, payload integration, and C2 link from the ground up, building a hardened, field-deployable platform for precision scientific missions.

You will work across firmware, electronics, and airframe design, collaborating in a small team and delivering end-to-end solutions for demanding international environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, computer science, or related field; hands-on welcome.
• BS + 2-4 or MS + 0-2 years hardware/software systems integration experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python with ArduPilot/PX4 experience.
• RF link design and electronics integration experience required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, tune, and iterate autopilot firmware for fixed-wing airframes.
• Read, modify, and debug ArduPilot source code to extend autopilot capabilities.
• Design and iterate on fixed-wing airframes optimized for payload and endurance.
• Support flight test campaigns and rapid firmware/hardware fixes.
