Job summary

UAV Exploration is seeking full-time and contract UAS pilots to join our team. Our operators are trained for highly challenging missions and travel across the US; ideal candidates are in the Pittsburgh area, though remote candidates are encouraged.

Duties include field travel, crew collaboration, weather checks, mission planning, UAS maintenance and data logging. FAA Part 107 certification and 2+ years UAS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to think outside the box and maintain a professional demeanor.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.
• 2+ years of UAS experience.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of PX4/Arducopter flight controllers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from remote field locations across the US.
• Work with field team members in a crew environment.
• Check weather, regulations and coordinate with landowners.
• Plan and execute complex low-altitude UAS survey missions.
• Responsible for UAS maintenance and care.
• Log UAS, battery and related equipment data.
