Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced UAS Operator and Training Specialist to support development, maintenance, and improvement of UAS training materials, procedures, and instructional guides. The role involves conducting Group 1-3 UAS flight operations and training, plus evaluating operator proficiency and providing guidance to teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in STEM or aeronautical field with substantial UAS experience, FAA Part 107, and an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or aeronautical field with 3+ years of relevant experience or 5+ years of operational UAS and training experience.
• Experience operating in tactical, public safety, military, or national security environments.
• FAA Part 107 certification.
• Experience operating rotary and fixed-wing Group 1-3 UAS platforms.
• Experience supporting UAS training events and operator instruction.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Active SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe Group 1-3 UAS flight operations.
• Support hands-on training for UAS operators on multiple platforms.
• Conduct instructor development and refresher training.
• Develop and maintain UAS training materials, flight procedures, and standards.
• Evaluate operator proficiency and provide mentorship.
• Support operator certification programs.
• Execute mission planning and flight activities for missions.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders during mission execution.
• Prepare mission summaries and briefing materials for leadership.
• Maintain safety and mission effectiveness in dynamic environments.
