Job summary

Oxy is seeking a UAS Operations Team Leader in Houston to lead the internal unmanned aircraft systems program across oil and gas operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient drone operations. You will oversee a team of FAA Part 107 pilots and mission specialists, manage a multi‑platform UAS fleet, and drive capability development and end‑to‑end data delivery to operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

FAA Part 107 certification for pilots and mission specialists.
Experience leading drone operations across multiple campaigns.
Strong safety management and regulatory compliance (FAA, BVLOS, COAs).
Ability to manage fleet, procurement, maintenance, and data delivery workflows.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary safety authority for all UAS operations and establish a Safety Management System.
Own lifecycle management of the UAS fleet, including payloads and maintenance programs.
Recruit, onboard, and manage FAA Part 107‑certified pilots and mission specialists.
Oversee daily UAS flight operations, planning, execution, data processing, and debriefs.
Maintain KPI dashboards and backlogs; coordinate across asset integrity, pipeline ops, and HSE teams.
Lead R&D and integration of new UAS tech and data products.
