Job summary

OXY, Inc. is seeking an experienced UAS Pilot and Operations Specialist to support offshore inspection and asset integrity activities. You will conduct unmanned aircraft system inspections of offshore facilities, delivering high‑quality imagery and sensor data to engineering and operations teams.

The role requires a safety‑focused mindset, offshore travel readiness, and the ability to develop inspection plans while complying with HSE, FAA, and internal policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Experience operating UAS in industrial environments.
• Understanding of safe UAS flight planning and risk management.
• Ability to work in offshore oil and gas environments.
• Ability to document equipment and conditions by visual inspection.
• Attention to detail and data quality.
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration.
• Willingness to travel offshore and work non-routine schedules.
• Ability to obtain offshore safety training and certifications.
• Valid driver's license and offshore travel eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute UAS inspections offshore.
• Inspect piping, pressure equipment, structures, flare systems and related assets.
• Capture imagery and sensor data for assessments.
• Identify observable conditions indicating potential integrity concerns.
• Coordinate inspections with Mechanical Integrity, Corrosion, Facilities Engineering, Operations and HSE.
• Develop flight and inspection plans considering scope, equipment and hazards.
• Conduct pre-flight risk assessments and offshore safety planning.
• Maintain compliance with HSE, FAA and internal UAS policies.
• Maintain UAS assets and records.
• Share inspection data with engineering and inspection personnel.
• Assist in developing standardized procedures and repeatable routes.
• Support periodic inspections and integrate findings into risk-based programs.
• Evaluate new UAS technologies and imaging solutions.
• Identify opportunities to reduce exposure and avoid traditional access methods.
• Prepare clear inspection documentation and report observations promptly.
• Travel to offshore facilities as needed.
