Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group LLC is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a short-term, on-site contract in Fredericksburg, VA. The role focuses on assembling unmanned aircraft system components and related subassemblies to strict work instructions and quality standards. U.S. citizenship is required due to defense/export controls, and the work is performed on-site in a manufacturing

Qualifications

U.S. citizen required due to defense/export controls.
Ability to follow detailed written work instructions.
Mechanical aptitude with common hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Preferred: aerospace or unmanned systems experience.

Responsibilities

Assembles UAS structural and mechanical components per work instructions and drawings.
Drills prepared components and installs threaded inserts.
Applies epoxy, threadlocker, and other materials as required.
Assembles frames, mounts, motors, harnesses, and hardware.
Installs motors, ESCs, wiring, and panel connectors.
Uses hand/power tools and torque‑controlled equipment.
Performs in‑process inspections and records operations on travelers.
Maintains traceability and identifies defective parts.
