Saalex Corp. in Ridgecrest, CA (China Lake) seeks an Engineering Technician III to support assembly, integration, testing, operation, and sustainment of small weaponized UAS.

The role emphasizes independent work, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration with government engineers and program teams. Responsibilities include prototype development support, flight test prep, and documentation of results; travel for military tests is required and a Secret or Interim Secret clearance is needed.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling, integrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting testing, integration, prototype development, or engineering activities.
• Experience identifying and resolving system deficiencies and documenting corrective actions.
• Ability to travel in support of military test events.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, modify, operate, maintain, and repair small weaponized UAS systems and related equipment.
• Support prototype development, system upgrades, and engineering modification efforts.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and readiness evaluations.
• Support flight demonstrations, developmental testing, data collection, and evaluations.
• Interpret drawings and technical docs; document maintenance actions and configuration changes.
• Coordinate with engineers and program teams to support mission objectives.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance as needed.
