Job summary

Peak Workforce Solutions (Newbold Services) in Mauldin, SC seeks a UAS/Drone Technology Instructor to deliver classroom, lab, and flight-line instruction within the UAS program. The instructor teaches content aligned with FAA Part 107 knowledge areas and supervises hands-on drone operations.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, evaluating student performance, maintaining safety protocols, and advising on certification pathways.

Qualifications

• Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• Experience operating UAS in professional, educational, or commercial settings.
• Teaching or instructional experience across K-12, college, corporate training, or military settings.

Responsibilities

• Teach UAS/drone technology courses across lecture, lab, and outdoor flight sessions.
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes and FAA Part 107.
• Grade coursework, exams, and flight evaluations; maintain academic records.
• Plan, supervise, and conduct hands-on drone flight training; enforce safety protocols.
• Advise students on certification pathways and career opportunities in the UAS industry.
• Collaborate with program leadership and industry partners to keep curriculum current.
• Maintain and manage UAS equipment, inventory, and airworthiness records.
• Support student preparation for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate exam.
• Coordinate with RPIC for student flight operations per policy.
• Ensure compliance with airspace requirements, including LAANC authorizations.
