Job summary

Peak Workforce Solutions (Newbold Services) seeks a UAS/Drone Technology Instructor to deliver classroom, lab, and flight-line instruction in Mauldin, SC. You will teach content aligned with FAA Part 107 knowledge areas, supervise hands-on drone operations, evaluate student performance, and contribute to curriculum development.

The role requires current FAA Part 107 certification, teaching experience, and a willingness to obtain AGI within 6 months if not already held.

Qualifications

• Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required.
• Experience operating unmanned aircraft systems in professional, educational, or commercial settings.
• Teaching or instructional experience in classrooms or training environments.
• Willingness to obtain AGI certificate within 6 months of hire if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, laboratory, and flight-line instruction.
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with FAA Part 107 standards.
• Grade coursework, exams, and flight evaluations; maintain records.
• Supervise hands-on drone flight training and ensure safety protocols.
• Advise students on progress, certification paths, and career opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership and industry partners to keep curriculum current.
• Maintain and manage UAS equipment, inventory, and airworthiness records.
• Support student preparation for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate exam.
