You’ll be responsible for conducting and quality‑checking all aerial drone flights, ensuring data accuracy from takeoff to final deliverable. In addition to technical work, this role supports business growth through strong customer service and collaboration across project teams.

A solid understanding of civil surveying is essential, along with proficiency in Beitzel Corporation’s products and services. • Conduct pre‑flight planning, airspace reviews, and risk assessments for each mission
  • Maintain consistent QA/QC procedures for data accuracy, flight documentation, and analysis outputs
  • Process flight data to create orthomosaics, digital terrain models (DTMs), and 3D site maps for excavation and grading analysis
  • Identify surface features or inconsistencies that may impact excavation activities to assist with cut‑and‑fill volume calculations as needed
  • Integrate aerial data with survey control points, GPS datasets, and civil design files
  • Prepare detailed reports, visual models, and progress maps for use by project managers, engineers, and contractors
Working Conditions
  • Walk, sit, stand, and drive for extended periods of time
  • Navigate through challenging terrain with difficult access
  • Talk, hear, read, write and type
  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Perform duties outdoors in various weather conditions
What You'll Bring

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain status as a company approved driver
  • Experience in excavation, earthworks, or civil site design preferred
  • Proficiency with drone mapping and data processing software
  • Experience with GIS, CAD, and 3D modeling tools
