Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a QC Scientist II for an onsite contract role in Greenville, NC. You will perform complex analytical testing on raw materials and production samples, supporting GMP-like manufacturing in a regulated laboratory setting.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Chemistry or related field and at least 2 years in a GLP-regulated lab, with hands-on experience in wet chemistry and spectroscopic methods. This role runs 9 to 5 and is fully onsite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) in Chemistry or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a GLP-regulated lab performing analytical testing.
  • Expertise in wet chemistry methods, pH testing, titrations, and spectrophotometry.
  • Strong adherence to GLP and safety/PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex analytical testing of raw materials and production samples.
  • Utilize instrumentation including FTIR, UV-Vis, auto-titrators, and Karl Fischer titration.
  • Perform chromatographic analysis using HPLC, GC, LCMS.
  • Assist in OOS investigations and author technical reports.
  • Maintain GLP compliance, 6S housekeeping, and detailed documentation in LIMS.
  • Execute instrument calibrations, maintenance, and method validation.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex analytical testing of raw materials and production samples using validated chemical methods.
  • Utilize advanced instrumentation including FTIR, UV-Vis Spectrometry, auto-titrators, and Karl Fischer titration.
  • Perform chromatographic analysis using techniques such as HPLC, GC, and LCMS.
  • Assist in quality investigations for out-of-specification (OOS) results and author technical reports.
  • Maintain rigorous GLP compliance, 6S housekeeping standards, and detailed documentation within LIMS.
  • Execute instrument calibrations, routine maintenance, and method validation activities.
