Program Summary
The KBR UABOS Program provides comprehensive BASE OPERATING SUPPORT – INSTALLATION (BOS-I) services at Ankara Air Base in Turkey. These services are delivered to support the 39th Air Base Wing, mission partners, and tenant units, encompassing a diverse range of personnel including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel. The program ensures the seamless functioning of operations, maintenance, and support activities essential for the sustained mission readiness and operational effectiveness of UABOS and its associated units.
Job Summary
The UABOS (Turkey) Postal Craftsman must have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to ownership, and proven teamwork and communication skills are essential for providing exceptional customer service and handling sensitive mail matters. Roles and Responsibilities
Execute all postal functions necessary for efficient mail service provision.
Provide exemplary customer service regarding mail matters for base users.
Conduct scanning of accountable mail upon receipt at the post office and before delivery to customers.
Manage and oversee the controlled area to ensure security protocols are adhered to.
Maintain the postal directory service to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Ensure the proper receipt, handling, and delivery of all accountable mail items.
Adhere strictly to all relevant government procedures, regulations, policies, instructions, directives, and plans.
Perform comprehensive mail handling tasks including collection, postmarking, processing, and dispatching, with particular attention to inbound mail classification.
Receive and dispatch both personal and official mail to designated delivery points.
Basic Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Driver’s License (minimum “C” Class) with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
Must be fluent in English.
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with core competencies of functioning in a Military Post Office (MPO) or civilian equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of Postal experience.
Possession of qualifications matching those of a Postal Specialist (Air Force Specialty Code 3F5X1) as outlined in the Postal Manual or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Use of computer, phone, copier/scanner, and in general all administrative materials during accomplishment of work.
